In March 2003, based on the Law on Standardization (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia" No. 54/02) and the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia” No. 14/03), the Standardization Institute of the Republic of Macedonia - ISRM has been established as individual public institution, separating from the Bureau of Standardization and Metrology.

Macedonian standard МКС EN 301 360 is a harmonized European standard (Directive R & TTE) for Satellite Earth Stations and Systems (ЅЕЅ) Satellite User Terminals (SUT) transmitting towards satellites in geostationary orbit in the frequency ranges from 27,5 to 29.5 GHz.
